Premiere: Flanders Triptych
Patrick Dittamo's Flanders Triptych, a set of art songs to the words of Canadian doctor John McCrae (1872-1918), renowned author of the poem "In Flanders Fields," will be premiered in full as part of Dr. Bryan Pinkall's immersive multimedia recital program, Voices from the Western Front, in the Utzon Room at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia.
Along with rarely performed art songs by Alberic Magnard and George Butterworth, the concert will include the World Premiere performance of rediscovered music by slain Australian soldier, composer, and Olympic Gold-medalist Frederick Septimus Kelly, who perished in the Battle of Somme in 1916.

Hidden Treasures: The Travels of Marco Polo
"Hidden Treasures: The Travels of Marco Polo" will tell the tale of Marco Polo’s epic journey uniting East and West, featuring a world-premiere performance of a work last performed in the Sistine Chapel 500 years ago. Bartolome Escobedo’s masterpiece: "Missa ad te levavi" was concealed for centuries in the Vatican archives, and recently rediscovered and transcribed by musicologist Patrick Dittamo.
The performance will also feature "Chinese Folk Songs" from Pulitzer Prize for Music finalist Chen Yi and "Zeregleent Gobi (Mirage on the Gobi Desert)" by Se Enkhbayar.

Performance: Selections from Pika-don
